U STAR SQUARE Part of a seafront mixed use development (together with lifestyle mall, seaside F7B strip, and a budget hotel), this four star hotel was developed with an integrated circulation from and to the mall, and also on its utilities.
The corner oriented site, whilst it is also strategically viewed from sea and air from airplanes, resulting in an iconic monolith tower form with formal shaped pre-casted facade. The swimming pool area is treated as an accent for the massing, with natural material and lush vegetation approach.

The best view from the building is stretching from East to West, looking towards the coastline of Manado Bay and the Manado Tua volcanic island. The East to South view also have potential, with view to Manado city center and Mount Klabat.
To maximize the square type site, while keeping a proportional corridor and rooms configuration, as well as aligning the best view and orientation for the hotel rooms, the typical floors are 'L' shaped with one wing is double loaded. This results in a large volume of natural sunlight penetrating into the corridor. The best view from the building is stretching from east to west, looking towards the coastline of Manado Bay and Manado Tua volcaninc island.
