Indonesian Architecture Public Exhibition 2012
Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia (Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia) Den Haag, for the first time will showcase the works of Indonesian modern architecture at the event 'Pasar Malam Indonesia 2012' in The Hague Malieveld.
The Indonesian Night Market activity aims to promote Trade, Tourism and Investment as well as Indonesian cultural arts and Indonesian works in the Netherlands. This time the architecture got a chance to participate in the exhibition.
Therefore, the Indonesian Embassy appointed IAI (Indonesian Architects Association) represented by IAI-EU (Ikatan Arsitek Indonesia-EU in Rotterdam) to curate this exhibition together with Archicentrum (Jakarta). Present at the exhibition include: Indonesian Ambassador to the Netherlands (Mrs. Retno Marsudi), NAi (Netherlands Architecture Institute), IHS (Institute of Housing Studies), TU Delft, TU Eindhoven, OMA (to be confirmed) KCAP (to be confirmed), MVRDV (to be confirmed), West8 (to be confirmed), practitioner architect, academician, student, and especially Indonesian and Dutch public.
This exhibition is an introduction to Indonesian architecture to the public, it will use material that is easily digested by non-architects. It is hoped that this event will raise public interest in Indonesian architectural consultant services, and awareness of the development of Indonesian architecture, which without realizing it has developed and developed rapidly.
